اپل که علاوه بر مشکلات متعدد یک ماهه اخیر اعم از هک شدن آی کلود، قطع پخش مستقیم کنفرانس،خم شدن آیفون 6 پلاس، خرابی های iOS 8.1، باگ امنیتی Bash، از مشکل عدم استقبال از آیپد خود نیز از قدیم رنج می برد؛ قصد دارد نسل جدیدی از تبلت های خود را تا یک ماه آینده با صفحات نمایش بزرگتر به بازار بدهد تا شاید جلب توجه کاربران را بکند.
همانطور که سایت بلومبرگ پیش بینی کرده بود این شرکت قرار است تبلتی با صفحه نمایش 12.9 اینچ به بازار ارائه دهد و این یعنی 0.7 اینچ بزرگتر از بزرگترین تبلت سامسونگ یعنی Galaxy Tab Pro. اپل که طبق عادت هرساله خود بعد از معرفی آیفون به سراغ رونمایی از آیپد های جدید می رود به گفته برخی سایت های خبری وبه نقل از منابع تایوانی قرار است در این تبلت که احتمالا نام iPad Pro را برای خود انتخاب کرده است از پردازنده A8X استفاده نماید که قدرت بیشتری نسبت به A8 موجود در آیفون 6 و آیفون 6 پلاس دارد.
این پردازنده که به کمک شرکت تایوانی TSMC ساخته شده است به همراه 2 گیگابایت رم که برای اولین بار به این تبلت اضافه شده است می تواند نوعی پیشرفت جدی برای آن تلقی شود. البته این احتمال هم وجود دارد که تبلت جدید سری دوم iPad Air محسوب شود که شایعه تولید آن از قبل بر سر زبان ها بود.
اما بعید به نظر می رسد تولید محصولی به این بزرگی بتواند تغییر چندانی برای اپلی ها به بار آورد، چرا که حتی Galaxy Tab Pro سامسونگ هم نسبت به مدل کوچکتر قبلی خود از استقبال کمتری روبرو گشت و شاید بتوان گفت بهترین اندازه برای یک تبلت 7 یا 8 اینچ باشد.

Claimed iPad Pro specs have leaked, with Apple’s oversized tablet tipped to land with a 12.9-inch display and a new A8X processor. While the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have been grabbing the headlines since their official unveiling earlier this month, attention is now turning to Apple’s iPad announcement, expected to be held in late October. Citing claimed sources from Apple’s Taiwanese supply chain, Technews has reported Apple is planning to introduce a new tablet option alongside the expected arrival of the iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3. Although the iPad Pro has long been rumoured for release, to date specs have been hard to come by. Now, however, it has been suggested Apple will pair the new, larger screen size with an A8X processor. With the iPhone 6 the first device to run an A8 CPU, the A8X chipset is said to offer the graphical boost needed for the larger screen. A 12.9-inch form is considerably larger than both the 7.9-inch iPad mini and 9.7-inch iPad Air. Although the iPad Pro is expected to be unveiled next month, it has been suggested the business-orientated tablet will not go on sale until ‘early 2015’. Similarly, while the iPad Air 2 is being tipped for a pre-Christmas release, the iPad mini 3 is reportedly being held back until the latter part of Q1 2015. This early 2015 launch window should see the iPad mini 3 and iPad Pro launch alongside the recently unveiled Apple Watch wearable. iPad Pro aside, further reports have pointed to a number of iPad Air 2 features, with the flagship tablet expected to benefit from 2GB of RAM. All three tablets have been rumoured to add Apple’s TouchID fingerprint sensor, and the usual array of 16GB, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB storage options.
