درحال حاضر هیچ اسمارت فون ویندوزفونی جود ندارد که از یک پردازنده اسنپ دراگون 801 بهره ببرد، اما براساس خبرهای منتشر شده شاید بزودی شاهد عرضه اینچنین محصولی باشیم. شرکت ZTE درحال کار برروی یک اسمارت فون با نام ZTE Nubia W5 می باشد که از سیستم عامل ویندوزفون، پردازنده اسنپ دراگون 801، رمی 3 گیگابایتی و 64 گیگابایت فضای ذخیره سازی بهره می برد.
دوربین اصلی این اسمارت فون 13 مگاپیکسلی به همراه OIS می باشد، ضمن اینکه قابلیت اتصال 4G نیز وجود دارد. دیگر نکته مهم در مورد این اسمارت فون وجود یک باتری بزرگ 4500mAh برروی آن است. به نظر می رسد که شرکت های مختلف علاقمند به فعالیت بیشتر در بخش ویندوزفون شده اند و در روزهای اخیر خبرهایی از عرضه اسمارت فون ویندوزفون از سوی شرکت هایی چون ال جی و Prestigio نیز منتشر شده است. هنوز هیچگونه تاییدیه ای در مورد زمان معرفی این محصول وجود ندارد.

Up to now, no handset powered by Windows Phone has had a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor inside. But according to a rumor coming out of Asia, that interesting fact is about to change. ZTE is said to be working on a new handset named the ZTE Nubia W5. This would be a high-end Windows Phone flavored device with the Snapdragon 801 chip under the hood, 3GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage on board. The rear-facing camera is expected to be 13MP and features OIS. This phone would offer 4G connectivity and it would be all powered up by a massive 4500mAh battery.This could be the top-shelf model that Windows Phone needs to show that there are other manufacturers beside Nokia (whose Devices and Services division now belongs to Microsoft) willing to take a big gamble on the platform. Keep in mind though, that despite a picture allegedly showing off the model, ZTE has not officially confirmed that this device exists, or is even in the works If the ZTE Nubia W5 does become reality, will ZTE offer it in the states? On Wednesday, ZTE USA CEO Lixin Cheng talked about ZTE having relationships with U.S. carriers that other Chinese manufacturers fail to have. But so far, these have been low-end models like the ZTE Concord II that is now available at T-Mobile. And if you need to be reminded about the difference between the Snapdragon 801 and Snapdragon 800, let’s refresh your memory. The 801 offers a faster CPU and GPU clock speed, supports eMMC 5.0, and allows you to be on two calls at the same time with Dual SIM, Dual Active. Lastly, the AB/AC variations have a faster LPDDR3 interface.
