While we do know that HP is working on a successor to the Slate 8 tablet (what you see on the right happens to be a HP Slate 8 Pro device), calling it the HP Slate 8 Plus, it would be nice to have more information to work with where this tablet is concerned. For starters, it seems that an alleged specifications sheet has been leaked which you can check out right after the jump.
For starters, the HP Slate 8 Plus will arrive with an 8” display that carries a resolution count of 1,280 x 800 pixels resolution, and it will depend on the HP Slate 8 tablet as its “base”, sporting minor upgrades along the way. Not only that, it will allegedly feature a quad-core 1.6GHz Hisilicon Balong V9R1 processor, which would make it the first non-Huawei device that will make use of a Hisilicon chipset that hails from the folks over at Huawei. It could very well be that the Hisilicon Balong VR91 is a Kirin 910 or Kirin 910T.

Other hardware specifications point to 1GB RAM accompanied by the likes of 16GB of internal memory, a 5MP camera at the back, and a secondary 1MP shooter in front, although it does not look as though it is going to arrive with Android 4.4 KitKat as the operating system of choice. Expect the HP Slate 8 Plus to target emerging markets such as Russia and India with a 299 Euro price tag.
