پس از تولید اسمارت واچ Gear S از سوی سامسونگ که قادر است ارتباطات 3G را برای کاربر تأمین کند، دور از انتظار نبود که به زودی رقیب همیشگی این شرکت در کره جنوبی یعنی ال‌جی نیز پا به این میدان بگذارد.
وبسایت GforGames خبر داده که اخیرا اسمارت واچی متعلق به ال‌جی از سوی FCC آمریکا مجوز دریافت کرده است. سند مربوط به این تأییدیه اطلاعات چندانی از ظاهر و نوع سخت افزار این اسمارت واچ ارائه نمی‌کند، ولی با توجه به تجهیز آن به CDMA می‌توان امکان برقراری ارتباطات 3G را برای آن قطعی دانست.
همچنین اندازه این اسمارت واچ 57.7×35.5 میلی متر ذکر شده که خبر از طراحی چهارگوش آن می‌دهد. بنابراین احتمالا با ساعتی مشابه با جی واچ اصلی روبرو خواهیم شد.
در حالی که هنوز نمی‌توان تحلیل دقیقی از آینده اسمارت واچ‌های معمول بازار داشت، آیا قرار است اسمارت واچ‌های با باقابلیت 3G آینده این صنعت را دست خود بگیرند؟ حداقل برای اپل که چندین مدل از اسمارت واچ خود تولید کرده، چنین آینده ای دیده نمی‌شود ولی به نظر کره ای‌ها تحلیل دیگری دارند.

LG Smartwatch With 3G Capabilities Spotted At the FCC, Might Head To Verizon/Sprint
Its seems like big and small time companies from the mobile industry are hell bent on grabbing a significant share of the smartwatch market, even though, so far, sales have been underwhelming to say the least.
Samsung has flooded the market with 4 smartwatches already available and with the 5th one (Gear S) ready to hit store shelves in the near future, while its domestic rival is making preparations to launch its second such device, the stylish LG G Watch R.
However, it looks like the Watch R is not the only smartwatch LG is working on. Join us after the break for more.
We’ve already heard, several month ago, that LG is working on a 3G capable smartwatch. To put things in context, at the time, the Samsung Gear S was known (thanks to leaks and rumors) as Gear Solo.
Since May we haven’t heard anything else about LG’s 3G capable smartwatch, until very recently when the device in question has landed on FCC’s workbench.
As you can see above, the LG VC100/LG VC100P is a CDMA (this means 3G) capable smartwatch whose dimensions (excluding the strap) are 57.7 x 35.5 mm. By comparison, the big Samsung Gear S is 58.3 x 39.8 mm. Other than that, nothing about the device’s specs is being mentioned by the FCC documents, although, based on these model numbers we can speculate that the smartwatch will land on Verizon and/or Sprint.
