زمانی بود که نه تلویزیون هوشمندی بود، نه رزولوشن‌های بالا و نه حتی کنترل از راه دور. با آن که شاید بگوییم امروز وسایل بیشتری در اختیار داریم، اما نمی‌توان خاطرات خوش گذشته را فراموش کرد. این هدفی شد برای ال‌جی تا با ساخت این تلویزیون LCD اینچی 32 با حال و هوای CRTهای 40 سال پیش، دل بزرگ‌تر ها را هم بدست بیاورد.
گول ظاهر قدیمی و از مد افتاده‌ی آن را نخورید، این محصول باطناَ یک نمایشگر عریض تمام اچ‌دی با پنل IPS است که از USB، HDMI و MHL نیز پشتیبانی می‌کند. البته برای عوض کردن شبکه یا تنظیم ولوم صدا، باید از جایتان بلند شده و به صورت دستی این کار را بکنید!
ظاهر کلاسیک و شیک این تلویزیون، مناسب پدربزرگ و مادربزرگ‌هایی است که مایلند به یاد سال‌های خوش گذشته، در کنار هم بنشینند و سریال‌های دهه هفتادی نگاه کنند. البته جوانان امروزی هم می‌توانند با خرید آن به قیمت 750 دلار، سفری در زمان داشته باشند.
البته ال‌جی در ارائه آن به بازار تصمیم عجیبی گرفته و قصد دارد آن را فعلا تنها در کره‌ی جنوبی عرضه کند و هنوز هیچ برنامه‌ی مشخصی برای فروش آن در کشورهای ندارد.

LG Goes Retro With its 70s-Style TV
Remember when TVs didn't have remote controls, and you actually had to walk over to manually change the channel or volume? No?
Well, LG is giving us all a serious case of nostalgia with its newly launched 32-inch LCD set, designed to resemble a 70s style CRT, complete with rotary dials for volume and channel control.

But don't be deceived by its old-fashioned exterior. CRT may stand for "cathode ray tube," but the South Korean company is outfitting the television with modern technology, including a 1080p IPS display, HDMI, USB and MHL ports, as well as a remote control (so you won't actually have to get up to change the channel). It hooks up to electronic devices, such as smartphones and laptops, via the ports.
The TV also forgoes a small 70s-style screen in favor of an ultra-wide, 32-inch, LED screen.
On its website, LG explains that the television's look is meant to evoke a “classic Scandinavian-style design that emphasizes simplicity.”
It conjures up "nostalgia of the old days," the company says, adding that the TV's unique style is "important for customers looking for something trendy and special."
Don't get carried away with outfitting your retro-inspired living room just yet, though. For now, the model is only available in South Korea, and there are currently no plans to bring it to an American market. The television is on sale for 840,000 won (around USD $750).
