اگر چه کمپاني تايواني HTC اولين اسمارت فون اندرويدي جهان را با عنوان HTC Dream در سال 2008 روانه بازار نمود اما اکنون کمپاني کره اي سامسونگ با توليد 100 مدل اسمارت فون اندرويدي بزرگترين توليد کننده تلفن هاي هوشمند اندرويدي جهان است.
اولين اسمارت فون اندرويدي کمپاني سامسونگ با نام گلکسي و مدل i7500 ، اندکي بعد از گوشي اچ تي سي در سال 2009 روانه بازار شد.اين اسمارت فون دارای صفحه‌نمایشی 3.2اینچی، 128 مگابایت رم و پردازنده‌ای 528 مگاهرتزی از شرکت کوالکام بود. سیستم‌عامل این گوشی، اندروید 1.5 موسوم به کیک کلوچه‌ای یا cupcake بود.
اکنون پس از گذشت 5 سال سامسونگ با توليد 100 مدل اسمارت فون اندرويدي به بزرگترين توليد کننده تلفن هاي هوشمند اندرويدي جهان تبديل شده است.
در حالی که سامسونگ سیاست اشباع بازار از مدل‌های مختلف را در پیش گرفته است، اپل همچنان با تنوع کمتر اما با کیفیت به‌مراتب بیشتر در حال پیشروی هست. اپل و سامسونگ هر دو با تکیه بر زنجیره تامین عظیم خود و در کنار تبلیغات موثر توانسته‌اند سود بازار گوشی‌های هوشمند را به‌طور کامل تصاحب کنند، با این تفاوت که دو سیاست متفاوت را در تولید و عرضه در پیش گرفته‌اند.
به طور قطع تنوع مدل را نميتوان به عنوان تنها دليل برتري و فرمانروايي سامسونگ به بازار گوشي هاي اندرويدي دانست چرا که اسمارت فون هاي سري گلکسي اس سامسونگ با بهره گيري از مشخصات سخت افزاري خوب و امکانات نرم افزاري بسيار ، توانسته اند کاربران بسياري را به سمت خود جذب کنند.البته حضور رقباي قدرتمندي همچون اچ تي سي ، سوني و ال جي را نيز در اين عرصه نبايد ناديده بگيريم.
به عقيده شما آيا سامسونگ در آينده هم ميتواند به حکمراني خود در بازار اسمارت فون هاي اندرويدي ادامه دهد ؟

Like it or not, Samsung is the world’s largest Android smartphone vendor. It wasn’t the first company to release an Android handset, though. That was HTC – back in 2008 – with the T-Mobile G1 / HTC Dream. Samsung’s first commercial Android device was launched a bit later, in June 2009. Simply called Samsung Galaxy (model number i7500), the handset didn’t manage to impress. It offered a 3.2-inch HVGA display, Android 1.5 Cupcake, 128MB of RAM, and a 528MHz Qualcomm MSM7200A processor. is a good word to describe the journey, because we just realized that the South Korean company released over 100 Android smartphones around the world since 2009 (not including slightly different variations of the same model). We counted 114 Samsung Android handsets – though results may vary, depending on what you consider to be a variation of the same phone. Of course, it’s not just the sheer number of products that helped Samsung rule the global smartphone market. The company had – and continues to have – a lot of high-end hot sellers, starting with the Galaxy S i9000 that was introduced in the first half of 2010, and finishing with the new Galaxy S5 (which already broke Samsung’s previous record when it comes to shipments).
