Aside from that, the THL 5000 is a powerful phone equipped with the latest hardware available. The device is powered by the newest MediaTek MT6592T Turbo Processor and clocked at 2.0 GHz, identical architecture with the standard mt6592 (non turbo) but with a higher clocked speed. The Soc also uses the same Mali 450 MP4 graphics processor. Furthermore, the phone is also equipped with 2 GB DDR3 RAM and a 16 GB Internal Storage expandable up to 64GB via MicroSD card Support. The phone also runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat with multilingual Support. Connectivity, for a premium phone, it lacks the needed connectivity options, the phone supports Dual Sim with Dual Active and Dual Standby modes, unfortunately, data support is only up to HSDPA+ and thus no 4G or LTE Support. Also, connectivity with 3G is only limited to preset frequencies (as shown on the table). It is thus important to make sure that your carrier supports such frequencies. Other connectivity options are also available, aside from Bluetooth and Wifi, the phone supports NFC (Near Field Communication) for data transfers, payment modes etc… Other Notable Features, the ability to charge other devices, the THL 5000, as the name suggest is equipped with a massive table size 5000mAh battery, the PowerBank mode allows the phone to charge other external devices. More or less, most THL Phones look alike, the THL 5000 has a low profile look at first glance. Build quality is mostly plastic, and despite the massive battery, the phone is only 8.9 mm thick. Although not the thinnest phone in the market, it’s surprising, how they manage to keep the battery overall thickness to a minimum. The low profile design could easily mistake it for a budget device, but looks aren’t everything, and the THL 5000 made that obviously clear. However, all is good cannot be said, despite the premium hardware, it can’t hide the fact that it clearly lacks connectivity. The 3G only support maybe hard stomach by most, as 4G or LTE phones, even budget ones are popping up. Also, it is noteworthy to add that HSDPA+ frequencies is only limited to preset available for the phone. However, if you want a fast smartphone with very good battery life and NFC Support, then the THL 5000 excels in those department.
