Samsung is holding an event a little later on this month, and it’s a pretty safe bet that the company is to announced their new Galaxy Tab S line of devices, which we’ve heard quite a bit about already. While Samsung already has the Galaxy Tab Pro and now the Galaxy Tab 4 line on shelves, they’re not done yet and have even more to offer to tablet buyers, with these 8.4-inch and 10.5-inch tablets said to follow the Galaxy Tab S5′s design with features like a fingerprint sensor and AMOLED displays.

Now, we get to see the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 in leaked press images before Samsung’s June event, which confirms a few details to us, like the 6.6mm thickness – sorry, thinness – and the 465g weight, stats which make this one of the thinnest and lightest tablets ever made. As SamMobile have found out, the Galaxy Tab S will also sync to a Samsung phone and allow you to take calls directly on your tablet, and there’s also Remote PC software hinted at in Samsung’s press images here. We see the fingerprint scanner in action and get a couple more looks at the device itself, including what looks to be some sort of shortcut button around the back of the device.

Specifics on specs haven’t been elaborated on any further in these press images, but so far all signs are pointing to a tablet with an Exynos 5420 octa-core CPU, 3GB of RAM and a 2560 x 1600 AMOLED display – on either the 8.4-inch model or the 10.5-inch model. As for the design of the device, we can see the same dotted pattern which helps makes the Galaxy S5 nice and grippy. According to rumor, the 8.4-inch model of the Galaxy Tab S could be even lighter at just 287g. With only a week or so left to find out just what Samsung is to announce during their New York event, we’ve not got too much longer to wait.
