New renders of the Galaxy A5 have been sent our way by one of our readers, and from where we’re standing, they’re looking legit. Hot on the heels of yesterday’s photos of the A5 caught in the wild, we’re now looking at sterile renders that show the device in its full (albeit not high-res) glory. In case you missed the story on the new Galaxy A line and the Galaxy A5 in specific, here’s a quick recap. At this point it’s looking like Samsung is on path to create a new family of mid- to high-end Galaxy devices, all under the A (Alpha?) moniker. We’re told to expect devices that emulate the Galaxy Alpha, so think premium materials with the body (e.g. metal). Turning to the Galaxy A5, the device measures in at 5.48 x 2.74 x 0.26 inches (139.3 x 69.7 x 6.7 mm) and features a frame made out of aluminum. The display is a 5-inch, 720p one, of the Super AMOLED type. This mid-ranger will apparently be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor and 2GB of RAM, and make use of a 13-megapixel rear shooter. The rest of the list includes 16GB of microSD-expandable storage, a 2300 mAh cell, and Android 4.4.4 KitKat. We’re told it will cost $400. At this rate, we expect to see the Galaxy A5 make its official debut soon. From what we know, it’ll be a world-wide one.
