گوگل مدتی است که رنگ و بوی زبان طراحی “متریال دیزاین” را به اپلیکیشن های اندرویدی خود اضافه می‌کند و حالا نوبت به اپلیکیشن جیمیل این شرکت رسیده است.وبسایت اندروید پلیس که به نسخه پیش از انتشار جیمیل 5.0 دسترسی داشته، علاوه بر ظاهر جدید به یک غافلگیری جالب نیز در آن برخورده است. ظاهرا اپلکیشن جیمیل در ورژن جدید خود اکانت ایمیل‌های یاهو و Outlook را نیز پشتیبانی می‌کند.
جیمیل به شکل سنتی تنها از اکانت گوگل کاربران پشتیبانی می‌کند، اما به نظر غول دنیای جستجو قصد دارد با پشتیبانی از دیگر اکانت های ایمیل، راحتی بیشتری را برای کاربران اندرویدی خود فراهم کند.
حتی در ویدیویی رسمی اما لو رفته که از اپلیکیشن جدید جیمیل منتشر شده، گوگل در آن به پشتیبانی از اکانت های غیر از گوگل، یاهو و Outlook نیز اشاره دارد.
جیمیل ورژن 5.0 اندروید فعلا در دسترس نیست و پیش‌بینی می‌شود در هفته‌های آینده ارائه شود.

Google’s been updating apps left and right recently to fall in line with its new material design philosophy, and the results have been impressive. There are a few apps it appears Google’s saving for the final Lollipop release though – Gmail 5.0 among them.
While we won’t be distributing the updated Gmail app until the official update is released, we will be sharing a goody from the new onboarding process, which shows some of the new awesomeness coming to the app in its overhaul.
Specifically, it looks like Google’s gearing up to handle all your email with Gmail, not just your Gmail account.
Among other things, the new Gmail will be able to handle email accounts from other providers like Yahoo or Outlook, switching between them with either a simple swipe or by touching the account drop down. Here’s the new onboarding video Gmail will show for returning users upgrading to the new version.
The onboarding video does a great job of showing all the new visual treats in the 5.0 version of the app, from the super clean compose screen to the round avatars, FAB, and refreshed iconography. Truly “a fresh new look” is the most apt description for the update.
