امروز سامسونگ چیپست جدید و 4 هسته ای خود را با نام Exynos ModAP معرفی کرد که با 4G LTE (در هر دو سیستم FDD و TDD) یکپارچه شده و با معماری 28 نانومتری HKMG تولید می شود.
اگزینوس ModAP از LTE تا سرعت LTE-A ( مخفف LTE Advanced) پشتیبانی می کند که هنوز مشخص نیست که این چیپست حداکثر سرعتش 150 Mbps می باشد یا 225 مگابیت بر ثانیه. اما در هر حال مهم این است که بعد از حدود 2 سال، سامسونگ بالاخره برای رقابت با کوالکام در زمینه چیپست هایی با پشتیبانی از مودم های LTE، چیپست Exynos ModAP را وارد میدان کرده است.
سامسونگ می گوید چیپست Exynos ModAP ، مولتی تسکینگ سریعتری را به ارمغان می آورد و از دوربین هایی با رزولوشن بالا نیز پشتیبانی می کند. سامسونگ فعلا جزئیات زیادی را از چیپست های جدید خود رو نکرده ولی به زودی باید اطلاعات بیشتری را از آن ها بدست آورد.
باید دید سامسونگ از چیپست های Exynos ModAP در اسمارتفون های میان رده خود استفاده خواهد کرد و یا پرچمدارانش، چرا که چهار هسته ای بودن این چیپست، ما را کمی در مورد این موضوع دو به شک کرده است.

Over the years, we have made improvements to the Exynos series, which means our processors are now in demand more than ever.
The introduction of the Exynos 3 Single processor in 2009 offered faster internet browsing and enabled faster application loading with its 1GHz single core CPU – in 2010, we introduced multi core processors, for a richer computing experience. And this year, we released the Exynos 5 Hexa, the world’s first ARM based six core mobile processor, which consists of two powerful big cores and four power efficient LITTLE cores. Using big.LITTLE architecture and Heterogeneous Multi-Processing (HMP) solution, they are able to run various combinations of cores in order to produce the finest performance with incredible power efficiency. Exynos 5 Octa-powered mobile devices such as the new Samsung Galaxy Tab S, and Samsung Chromebook 2 are now giving users life-enriching experiences.
